GUARANTEED FIXED PRICE REMEDIATION
Our programme avoids the risk of escalating development costs by guaranteeing fixed cost remediation programme. Remedial cost increases through failure to meet clean up targets, time overruns, and discovery of previously undiscovered contamination are all covered. ARCADIS GMI provides fixed cost contracts for remediation that assure regulatory acceptance for "no further action" for one predetermined cost.
ENVIRONMENTAL INSURANCE
Our guarantee is underwritten by clean-up "cost cap" insurance. This provides a high degree of risk protection. Additional optional insurance cover also provides valuable protection against future spills and undiscovered past releases.
NVESTIGATION UNCERTAINTIES QUANTIFIED
Geraghty & Miller uses geostatistics and optimal investigation point distribution to aid site investigation design. Remedial action costs are calculated taking account of all uncertainty factors. These methods provide quantification of uncertainties in investigation and remedial cost prediction which are then incorporated into ARCADIS GMI’s guaranteed remediation contract.
When our guarantee is in place, the insurance company’s risk of receiving claims under the cost cap policy is very low. Therefore, the insurance policy is reasonably priced.
