Arcadis is pleased to
announce the arrival of two Specialists in
Land Condition namely Kelvin Hughes and
Greg Jones:
The Specialist in Land Condition (SiLC)
registration is awarded to senior
individuals, and not companies, who are
able to demonstrate degree qualification,
chartered status, and a minimum of 8 years
relevant experience in the assessment,
remediation and inspection of contaminated
land. Chartered status is ensured through
membership of one or more of the following
professional bodies: Association of
Geotechnical Specialists, The Chartered
Institution of Water and Environmental
Management, The Institution of Civil
Engineers, The Chartered Institution of
Environmental Health, The Institute of
Environmental Management and Assessment,
The Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors, The Royal Society of Chemistry
and The Geological Society.
The aim
of registration process is to ensure
'licensed' people with recognised
qualifications/ experience produce Land
Condition Records, and provide consistent
high standards, industry wide standards,
quality assurance and build confidence
with all parties involved in the
transaction of brownfield land. SilC is
now becoming a recognised minimum
professional standard.
