ARCADIS - 2006 award for Outstanding Safety, Health and Environment

ARCADIS were recently presented with ExxonMobil's prestigious 2006 award for Outstanding Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) Achievement for Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EAME).

Eric Biriotti, SH&E Field Manager for Exxon Mobil EAME presented the award to Robbie Dow, Operations Director of ARCADIS, at the Project Health & Safety Day on 16 October 2006. It was awarded in recognition of ARCADIS' health and safety performance and adoption of the Loss Prevention System (LPS) whilst working on Esso's Demolition and Remediation Project in the UK & Republic of Ireland.

Eric commented that, in particular, ARCADIS' adoption of the LPS system into the company business played and important part in ExxonMobil's decision to select ARCADIS for the award.

In a separate session of the Health & Safety Day, ARCADIS were awarded a plaque in recognition of their contribution to the project receiving the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Silver Award for Occupational Safety 2006. In addition, Adam Bethell was presented with the Field Engineer award, the third consecutive time an ARCADIS engineer had won the award.
